THIS IS AN INVESTMENT QUALITY 1971 CHEVELLE SS 454 LS5. BUILT IN VAN NUYS CALIFORNIA. LIFETIME CALIFORNIA CAR WITH CALIFORNIA TITLE. ALL ORIGINAL COMPLETE FACTORY CALIFORNIA SMOG SYSTEM STILL FUNCTIONING ON CAR. FACTORY AC CAR. DOCUMENTED WITH FACTORY BUILD SHEET. RESTORATION COMPLETED IN JUNE OF 2003, WITH VERY LOW MILEAGE SINCE. RARE CODE 52 SUNFLOWER YELLOW.

EXTERIOR: California all steel body panels.  Mirror finish Code 52 Sunflower Yellow paint. Black SS Stripes. Factory tinted glass in excellent condition. All chrome and stainless in excellent condition. Factory 5 spoke SS wheels have been sandblasted and repainted. P255/60R15 Radial tires. Stainless drip rail moldings are painted yellow-this is incorrect. Can either be left alone or removed, stripped of paint, and reinstalled. Driver's bullet mirror painted black instead of body color. Fit and finish on all panels is excellent.

DRIVE TRAIN: This piece of muscle car history came from the factory with the monster LS 5, 454 365 HP engine. The original engine has been replaced with a 454 C.I. engine built by a professional speed shop to LS5 specs. Holley Carburetor, Aluminum Intake, Hydraulic Cam. Original stock exhaust manifolds with complete original California Smog setup still intact and functioning. Factory Air Conditioning complete and working. may need a charge) Power steering. Power Disc Brakes. F41 Suspension with anti sway bars. Rebuilt Turbo 400 Transmission. Rebuilt 3.31 Posi-Traction Differential. Springs, shocks, etc all replaced. Mechanical rebuild completed in June 2003 with less than 2,000 miles on restoration work. Frame, floor pans, and trunk pan in immaculate condition. Undercarriage painted in frame black. All brakes, wheel cylinders, and seals are new. No rattles, alignment is excellent. Fuel tank removed, boiled out, and reinstalled.

INTERIOR: New factory bench seat interior-correct vinyl seats with cloth inserts. Door panels and carpet new. Headliner new. Original SS dash in excellent condition. Original SS Sport Wheel in excellent condition. Factory AM Radio. All dash faces in excellent clear condition. All new weather stripping. Column shifted automatic. New package shelf. Horn, lights,interior light, heater and AC controls all work.

TRUNK: Trunk floor original and in immaculate shape. Original quarter panels in pristine condition. Trunk compartment freshly detailed in GM Trunk Splatter.
The build sheet was lost by last owner. We contacted original seller for a copy of it. We expect to get it!
